RAB-CHEAT-ARREST (with picture)
Cheat held in Nilphamari
RANGPUR, Jan 30, 2020 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 arrested an active member of an organised gang of cheats from Basoapara area in Jaldhaka upazila of Nilphamari district today.
“The arrested is Sheikh Md. Abdul Mazid, 55, son of late Ansar Ali of village Basoapara in Nilphamari district,” said a press release.
A special operation team of RAB-13 conducted a raid and arrested the man with false appointment letters, two mobile phone sets and cash money from him when his other cohort Abdul Ahad alias Bhoda, 58, managed to escape.
During primary interrogation, the arrested admitted that he in connivance with his other cohorts had been engaged in cheating common people by realizing money from them promising to provide jobs in Bangladesh Army for a long time.
A case was filed against him at Jaldhaka police station.
