ARREST-YABA-AIRPORT
One held with 3,830 Yaba tablets at HSIA
DHAKA, Dec 24, 2019 (BSS) – Security personnel detained one person with 3,830 pieces of yaba tablet in the domestic terminal area of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) today.
The arrested was identified as Shafique Ullah, 34, hailed from Noakhali village under Teknaf thana in Cox’s Bazar district.
Armed Police Battalion (APBn) additional superintendent (ops and media) Alamgir Hossain Shimul confirmed the matter to BSS.
He said members of APBn nabbed him while he was suspiciously walking in the outside area near the domestic terminal around 9 am.
Later, they recovered the pills from his stomach, he added.
The estimated value of the seized yaba tablets is around Taka 12 lakh.
A case was filed in this regard under Narcotics Control Act with airport police station.
