Bijoy Mela begins in Noakhali
NOAKHALI, Dec 15, 2019 (BSS) – A nineteen-day Bijoy Mela began on the premises of Kochi Kachar Mela in the town today.
Lawmaker Ekramul Karim Chowdhury inaugurated the fair as the chief guest with Sadar Upazila Awami League president advocate Shihab Uddin in the chair.
The discussion was addressed, among others, by Upazila Parishad chairman AKM Samsuddin Jehan, freedom fighter Mozammel Haque Milon, Momotazul Karim Bachchu, former student leader Nasir Uddin and AL leader Wadud Pinto.
Chief executive of Zilla Parishad Dr Maha Alam was also present.
The Bijoy Mela included reminiscence liberation war, songs, poetry recitation, dance and drama.
A total of 150 stalls were set up in the fair.
The mela will remain open for all from 3 pm to 10 pm every day.
