UP Chairmen suspended on corruption charge
DHAKA, Dec 15,2019 (BSS)- Kamruzzaman Lebu, Chairmen of Ghoga Union Parishad (UP) in Mymensingh’s Muktagacha Upazila, was suspended today over an alleged corruption charge.
The Local Government Division issued a notification today in this regard, said a press release.
As per the article 34 (1) of the Local Government (Union Parishad) Act 2009, Kamruzzaman Lebu was suspended for his involvement with misappropriation of money and anti-people activities, the people.
Lebu has been served with a show-cause notice asking him to reply within ten working days why he should not be suspended from his post permanently, said the press release.
