Hasan lashes out pro-BNP lawyers over chaos in courtroom
CHATTOGRAM, Dec 06, 2019 (BSS) – Coming down heavily on pro-BNP lawyers for the Thursday’s chaotic situation inside the courtroom, Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud today demanded exemplary actions against those who made contempt of court.
If the incident of contempt of court occurs in the apex court before the hearing of party chief Begum Khaleda Zia’s bail appeal, then it can be easily assumed the extent of chaos they (BNP) would cause to trigger if the bail is granted by the court, he said.
The information minister said this while replying to questions of journalists at GEC crossing here before the beginning of the programme of TV Camera Journalists’ Association of Chattogram.
TV Camera Journalists’ Association of Chattogram organized the programme at K Square auditorium marking its 12th anniversary.
The information minister called for taking stern steps against those who made contempt of the apex court for the sake of maintaining rule of law in the country.
