DHAKA, Dec 5, 2019 (BSS) – Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today said a befitting reply will be given if BNP carries out anarchy centering the verdict of cases against the party’s chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

Quader said this while talking to reporters after paying glowing tributes to Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy by placing a wreath, on behalf of the AL, at the legendary politician’s grave on the premises of Doyel Chattar here marking his death anniversary.

The AL general secretary said Suhrawardy had struggled for democracy throughout his entire life. His extraordinary leadership qualities had shown the nation the right path, he added.

Quader said the unparallel leader had great contributions to the struggle for establishing democracy, justice and the rule of law.

Awami League is still following the ideals of Suhrawardy to give institutional shape to democracy, he added.
