RAJSHAHI, Dec 1, 2019 (BSS) – Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni has urged the
teachers to give special attention to the children with special needs to
flourish their talents to build a prosperous country.

“If the physically challenged children were given special attention, they
will be able to flourish their latent talents,” she said while addressing the
inaugural session of a daylong divisional seminar here today as the chief
guest.

Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) under the Ministry of
Education organized the seminar titled “National Academy for Autism and
Neurodevelopmental Disability (NAAD)” at Shaheed AHM Kamaruzzaman Zila
Parishad Auditorium in the city.

More than 400 teachers and students from various schools of children with
special needs took part in the seminar.

The minister said each of the differently able children has special talent
and they need some extra care, love, affection and nursing so that they can
flourish their talents.

She urged the teachers to remain beside them with the mentality of making
them worthy citizens. All of their schools should have to be turned into the
place of attraction and amusement, she said.

The present government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister
Sheikh Hasina has been working relentlessly for ensuring the rights of the
physically challenged children, she added.

She simultaneously urged all concerned to supplement the government
endeavour through discharging their own duties with utmost sincerity and
honesty.

Senior Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division Sohrab
Hossain and President of Rajshahi Ananda School Governing Body Shaheen Akter
Rainy addressed the function as special guests with DSHE Director General
(DG) Dr Syed Golam Faruque in the chair.
