Country has buffer stock of salt for next four months
COX’S BAZAR, Nov 19, 2019 (BSS) – Acting Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Cox’s Bazar Ashraful Afsar today said there is a buffer stock of salt in the country for the next four months.
“Spreading of rumors over artificial salt crisis is a deep conspiracy. Legal action will be taken if anyone spreads misleading information to this end,” he told a view-exchange meeting with salt farmers, mill owners and traders.
The DC also urged the grocery owners to sell salt at the price mentioned on the salt packets.
Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) Salt Project DGM Syed Ahmad, Cox’s Bazar Additional DC (overall) Mohammad Masudur Rahman Mollah, Additional DC (education and ICT) Md Amin Al Parvez, Sadar Upaziula Nirbahi Officer AHM Mahfuzur Rahman and Bangladesh Salt Mill Owners’ Association President Nurul Kabir spoke, among others.
