11 city corporations to be brought under civic amenities: Palak
DHAKA, Nov 12, 2019 (BSS) – State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak today said as many as 11 city corporations and 329 municipalities will be brought under modern civic amenities in phases.
He was addressing the inaugural programme of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC)’s 24-hour information and citizen service hotline-333 as in city’s Gulshan area.
With DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam in the chair, it was attended, among others, by Local Government Division (LGD) Secretary Helal Uddin Ahmed and Access to Information (A2i) Project Director Dr Md Abdul Mannan as special guests.
DNCC CEO Md Abdul Hai gave the welcome speech.
Ward councilors and senior officials of DNCC were also joined the programme.
Prime Minister’s ICT Affairs Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy launched the helpline ‘333’ call center being run by the a2i programme on April 12, 2018 to reach services and provide quick feedback to people after receiving complaints against social problems.
