14-party satisfied with Menon’s explanation
DHAKA, Oct 28, 2019 (BSS) – The Awami League-led 14-party alliance today expressed satisfaction over the explanation of Workers’ Party President Rashed Khan Menon on his recent comment about the 11th Jatiya Sangsad election.
“We are satisfied over Menon’s explanation. He regretted saying his comment was published partially which created confusion,” Awami League Presidium Member and 14-party spokesperson Mohammed Nasim said.
He said this while addressing a meeting of the alliance at his Dhanmondi residence here.
Nasim said the 14-party alliance earlier sent a letter to Menon seeking his explanation over his comment and the Workers’ Party president replied to the letter.
Chaired by Mohammed Nasim, the meeting was attended by Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal President Hasanul Haq Inu, Samyabadi Dal General Secretary Dilip Barua, Jatiya Party (JP) Secretary General Sheikh Shahidul Islam, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (Ambia) General Secretary Nazmul Haque Pradhan, Gonotantri Party General Secretary Dr Shahadat Hossain, Workers’ Party General Secretary Fazle Hossain Badshah and Awami League Liberation War Affairs’ Secretary Advocate Mrinal Kanti Das, among others.
