BNP loses public support for negative politics: Nasim
DHAKA, Oct 25, 2019 (BSS) – Awami League (AL) Presidium member and 14-party alliance spokesperson Mohammed Nasim today said BNP has lost public support because of the party’s negative politics.
“BNP sees every step of the government with negative mindset. Because of its negative politics, the people do not support BNP,” he told a discussion arranged by ‘Bangabandhu Shikkha O Gobeshona Parishad’ at Jatiya Press Club auditorium here.
Nasim said BNP is hatching conspiracies against the government after being perplexed at its development activities.
Bangabandhu Shikkha O Gobeshona Parishad President and Dhaka University former Vice-Chancellor Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique chaired the discussion while AL leader Advocate Qamrul Islam and journalists’ leader Abdul Jalil Bhuiyan addressed it, among others.
Nasim said the more successes achieved by the government of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman after the Liberation War, the more conspiracies had been hatched against the government.
As part of the conspiracy, Bangabandhu was assassinated along with most of his family members and subsequently his close political associates -four national leaders- were also assassinated.
Highlighting different development activities and achievements of the government, Nasim said the country is going ahead under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The 14-party spokesperson said the people are appreciating the government’s ongoing crackdown on corruption.
