TIMIR-DEATH ANNIVERSARY
3rd death anniversary of Journalist Timir Dutta tomorrow
DHAKA, Oct 22, 2019 (BSS) – The third death anniversary of Journalist and
Freedom Fighter Timir Lal Dutta will be observed tomorrow.
To mark the day, religious rituals will be held at his home. Besides,
recitation from Geeta and prayers will also be held at Loknatha Babar Asrom
in city’s Shamibag area.
Dutta worked with different dailies, including the Daily Samakal and Daily
Khabor. He last discharged duties as a senior reporter of Bangladesh Sangbad
Sangstha (BSS) till September 2016.
Timir Lal Dutta breathed his last on October 23 in the city’s Birdem
hospital due to a cardiac arrest at the age of 63.
He was a member of various journalist organizations including Dhaka
Reporters’ Unity, National Press Club and Dhaka Union of Journalist (DUJ).
