RAB relentlessly working to maintain law and order
CHATTOGRAM, Oct 16, 2019 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) since their
inception is relentlessly working to detect crime, arrest criminals and keep
law and order stable in the country.
RAB became successful in achieving the people’s trust since their
establishment through arrests of rapists, eve teasers, extortionists,
terrorists, dacoits, killers, kidnapers, hijackers, recovery of arms and
ammunitions and drugs upholding the zero tolerance policy of the government,
a RAB press release said today.
In this continuation, RAB-7 contingent recovered the following arms,
ammunitions and drugs from January 01, year till date from the Chittagong
zone.
This includes a total of 106 fire arms, 34 magazines, 1054 bullets and
cartridges, 14 lakh 46 000 pieces of yaba, 9000 bottles of phensidyles, 537
bottles of foreign wine, 1 lakh 11 thousand liters of country wine, 1044 kgs
of marijuana and one kg heroin .
Besides, acting on secret information, RAB -7 forces conducted raid in
Karnaphuli tower of Reazuddin Bazar area last night where 3800 pieces of yaba
were recovered from a room of the tower.
RAB arrested drug trader Pradip Dhar of Cox’s Bazar in connection with the
trafficking of drugs, the press release added.
