Man held for killing wife in Gazipur
DHAKA, Oct 13, 2019 (BSS) – Police arrested a person from Morkun TNT Colony
area in Gazipur for his alleged involvement in the killing of his wife.
The arrested identified as Md Rubel, 35, was staying with his wife Sajeda
Akter in the aforesaid area.
Being informed, police recovered the body of Sajeda from their house around
3am and arrested Rubel from the spot, said Md Kamal Hossain, officer-in-
Charge of Tongi thana (east).
He said they suspected that she might have been strangled to death during
quarrel with her husband, adding that but the reason behind the killing would
be known after post-mortem examination.
Police today sent the body to Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical
College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
A case was filed with Tongi police station.
