Three-day Radio-Asia conference to begin Oct 29
DHAKA, Oct 6, 2019 (BSS) – A three-day ‘Radio Asia conference and Radio song festival-2019’ under the auspices of Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) will begin here on October 29.
It was disclosed at a preparatory meeting today organized by Bangladesh Betar and Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union held at the ministry conference room with State Minister for Information Dr. Murad Hasan in the chair.
Additional Information Secretary Nurul Karim, Director General of Bangladesh Television (BTV) S M Harun-Ur-Rashid, Principal Information Officer (PIO) Surath Kumar Sarker, Director General of Bangladesh Betar Narayan Chandra Shil and Director General of Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB) Jafar Wazed, among others, attended the meeting.
A total of 272 broadcasting organizations of seventy-six countries are the members of ABU.
The ABU is working to promote broadcasting media across the world including Asia-Pacific region by implementing different regional and international affairs programmes since its inception in 1964.
