Roadside illegal structures demolished by DNCC
DHAKA, Oct 03, 2019 (BSS) – A total of 70 illegal infrastructures on the roads of city’s Mohakhali area were evicted today by the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), in an eviction drive.
Led by the Regional Executive Officer of DNCC-3, Executive Magistrate Mir Nahid Ahsan, the drive was conducted from Brac University campus to the Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation Office and in front of the Mohakhali Community Centre.
During the drive, 20 establishments and 50 semi-pucca and temporary establishments were demolished, said the release.
The magistrate fined two separate institutes taka five thousand each, for grabbing the sidewalks for business purpose.
The eviction drive to free the sidewalks and pavements from illegal establishments will continue till further notice.
