Media sensitization stressed on conflict reporting
DHAKA, Sept 29, 2019 (BSS) – Speakers at a workshop here today called for verifying information, images and video while producing reports especially in conflict situation to demystify rumors.
Bangladesh NGOs Network for Radio and Communication (BNNRC) organized the two-day workshop on ‘Conflict Sensitive Journalism and Fact Checking’, ended today at WYCA in Mohammadpur here.
Different issues related to conflict-sensitive journalism and theories of conflict, role of journalists in Rohingya crisis in Bangladesh, covering natural disasters, syndicate crimes, civil conflict and peace processes relations with communities came up in the discussion.
A good number of journalists and mass communications professionals participated in the workshop.
