Zia shares third position in Gujarat GM Chess
DHAKA, Sept 25, 2019 (BSS)- GM Ziaur Rahman, GM Niaz Murshed and Tahsin
Tajwar Zia are sharing the third position in the points table with four
points after the fifth round games along with other fifteen players in the
2nd Gujarat International Open Grandmasters Chess Tournament now being held
in Ahmadabad, Gujarat in India.
IM Abu Sufian Shakil, FM Mehdi Hasan Parag and Nayem Haque earned 3 points
and Abzid Rahman earned 2.5 points after the fifth round games.
The fifth round games were held today (Wednesday). GM Zia beat Nayak
Rajesh of India, GM Niaz beat Pranav Shetty of India, Tahsin beat FM
Siddharth Jagadeesh of Indonesia, FM Parag drew with Chaitanya Sairam Mogili
of India, Nayem split points with Shirodkar Aayush of India, IM Shakil lost
to GM Deepan Chakkravarthy of India and Abzid lost to WGM Srija Seshadri of
India.
