DHAKA, July 26, 2017 (BSS) – Minister for Public Administration Syed Ashraful Islam today asked the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) to dedicate their heads and hearts in full in implementing all development projects of the present government to materialize the Prime Minister’s vision.

“If the present government can continue for another five years, Bangladesh would see further development in the days ahead. For this, the DCs would have to work in close coordination with each other,” he told newsmen after addressing the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) on the second day of their three-day conference at the cabinet division.

Syed Ashraf said the conference along with focusing upon present development activities also discussed last year’s achievements as well as the next plan of the government. “The DCs also raised their problems in the conference,” he told the newsmen.

While addressing the DCs, he said the politicians are working for the development of the country, while the civil servants are the part of that. So, they (civil servants) have to think about the country’s development, he said adding, coordinated efforts would help the country to progress further.

The minister said this conference is taking place every year where field level administration officers join and share their opinion, adding, “It’s an opportunity for sharing DC’s opinion with us and discussing about the next plan of the government.”
