KUSHTIA, Aug 19, 2019 (BSS)- The District and Session Judge of Kushtia today has given a person life term imprisonment and fined Taka one lakh under Narcotics Control Act 2018.
Judge Arpu Kumar Goswami announced the verdict in presence of the accused- Ziaurl Islam, son of Yakub Mondol of Bheramara Upazila.
The judge also convicted two other accused of the case giving them one and six-month jail and fined Taka two thousand each in default to suffer two months more in the prison. They are- Zahidul Islam, son of late Akbar Hossain and Babul Sheikh, son of Mojibar Sheikh of same upazila.
A team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested the accused from Dashmile area of Bheramara Upazila with five kilogram ganga and 600 gram of heroin and filed the case.
