Rotarians for improving environment thru’ tree plantation

RANGPUR, July 22, 2017 (BSS) – Leaders of Rotary Club of Rangpur Central (RCRC) at a function here have called upon the Rotarians and common people for improving environment through massive tree plantation.

They mentioned that massive forestation could create an eco-friendly green nature for adaptation to adverse impacts of climate change to bring ecological equilibrium for sustainable economic development.

They came up with the observations at the function organised by RCRC on Friday afternoon at Binodpur Graveyard premises for launching tree plantation campaign in the city.

President of RCRC Rotarian Mozammel Haque launched the campaign and
presided over the brief discussion arranged on the occasion.

General Secretary of RCRC Rotarian Shafi Uddin Ahmed, its Past Presidents Rotarian Farhad Hossain, Rotarian Siddique Abu Sayeed Khokan, Rotarian Nurul Alma Khokan and Rotarian Aminul Haque Khokan addressed, among others.

Joint Secretary of RCRC Rotarian Anwarul Azim, members of RCRC, a number of students of Begum Rokeya University, members of Binodpur Grayed Managing Committee were present.

The Rotarians planted 200 saplings of wood, fruit and medicinal trees in the Graveyard premises on the occasion.
