DHAKA, July 26, 2019 (BSS) – Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions.
It may rain at many places over Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country, said a Met office release here today.
A low pressure area has formed over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal areas of West Bengal and Bangladesh, the release added.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajsthan, Horiyana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, the centre of the low and thence northeastwards to Assam across the central part of Bangladesh. Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and strong over the North Bay.
Day and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.
