Environment department fines four factories
DHAKA, July 24, 2019 (BSS)- The Environment Department in an anti-environment pollution drive today cut off the power connections of three factories and fined Taka four lakhs for violating rules.
The environment department director (monitoring and enforcement) today visited Tejgaon and Rampura areas and fined a total of four lakh taka.
The amount was realized as fines from the owners of Color Express, Total Crafts Limited, Jam Jam Thread and Sun Corporation.
The owners were told to collect the Environment Clearance Certificate within the next 30 days.
Also, with the cooperation of the Dhaka Power Distribution Company Ltd, power connections of three institutes were cut off during the drive.
They are- New Bengal Washing Plant in Tejgaon, Neela Ice Factory and Alauddin Furniture in East Ulon in Rampura.
