Japan’s strategy to yield fourth industrial revolution suggested

DHAKA, April 29, 2018 (BSS) – Productivity experts laid emphasis to apply the total productive maintenance (TPM) of Japan to get the result of fourth industrial revolution.

The appropriate application of TPM would also capable to boost up the “smart productivity” in industry, they opined at a workshop today in a city hotel.

Japan-based Asian Productivity Organization (APO) and National Productivity Organization (NPO) jointly organized the international workshop titled “Training of Trainers in Total Productive Maintenance Applications”, said a release.

Industries Ministry Additional Secretary M Enamul Huq was present as chief guest with additional secretary M Dabirul Islam in the chair. NPO Director Asharfuzzaman along with productivity experts from Japan and Malaysia took part in the discussion.

They said the TPM method could assist to expand the knowledge window of entrepreneurs as well as modernize the production process through digitization.

They hoped the TMP method would pave the way of attaining the goal of fourth industrial revolution among the APO members.

A total of 19 trainees from 11 countries of Asia Pacific region and two experts are taking part at the four-day long workshop.
