President mourns death of Kishoreganj businessman Abdul Karim


DHAKA, April 20, 2018 (BSS) – President M Abdul Hamid today expressed profound shock at the death of renowned businessman and social worker of Kishoreganj Mohammad Abdul Karim.

He was 83.

In a condolence message, the President prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul of Karim, who breathed his last at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital today.

He had been suffering from deadly disease cancer since long, President’s press secretary M Joynal Abedin told BSS this evening.

The President conveyed sympathy to his bereaved family members.

Recalling his contribution to the 1971’s Liberation War, President Hamid said Karim provided all out support to the freedom fighters and freedom-loving students who gathered at his Nirala Hotel in Kishoreganj.

People of Kishoreganj will remember him for long, the President added.
