4 held with 1,400 yaba tablets in N’ganj
NARAYNAGANJ, June 11, 2019 (BSS)- Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB),
in an anti-crime operation, arrested four alleged drug-peddlers with 1,400
yaba tablets from Boktar Kandi area of the district yesterday.
The arrested were identified as Md Jasim, 27, Md Abir Hosen, 30, Shoshen
Sutradhar Munna, 38, and Mohammad Hossain, 27. All of them are residents of
Nabiganj and Kanchpur areas.
“On a tip-off, the crime prevention special company of RAB-11 conducted a
raid in Boktar Kandi area under Bandar Police Station and nabbed them with
the contraband drugs and Taka 10,000 cash,” Company Commander of RAB-11 Major
Talukdar Najmus Sakib told BSS.
During the interrogation, they admitted their involvement in illegal drug
peddling for long time, he added.
The Bandar Thana Police is preparing to file a case in this regard.
