Mohammedan edge past Arambagh in BPL
DHAKA, May 18, 2019 (BSS) – Mohammedan Sporting Club picked their third victory of the season beating Arambagh Krira Shangha by 1-0 in the lone match of the Bangladesh Premier League Football held on Saturday at Bangabandhu National Stadium.
The match was originally scheduled for Friday, but the authority rescheduled it to Saturday due to heavy storm in Dhaka.
Arambagh KS gave good fight to the Mohammedans. However, the Black and White was successful to pick an early lead which finally gave them the victory.
Mohammedan’s foreign recruit Toklish scored the only goal of the match at the 16th minute to bring a rare occasion of joy for his team.
Today, the forwards’ failure brought the third straight loss for Arambagh. Mohammedan now stands at the 10th position of the table with 12 points from 14 matches while Aramabagh is at the fifth place with 19 points from the same number of matches.
