Pointing out the BNP-Jamaat’s mayhem in 2013, 2014 and 2015, the prime minister said the BNP-Jamaat suffered debacle in the last general elections due to their misdeeds.

She called upon all to remain alert so that repetition of such fire terrorism does not occur in Bangladesh in future.

Sheikh Hasina elaborated her government’s massive steps for the development of various sectors including food, power, health and education.

“Not a single person will remain hungry and homeless and it is the decision of our government,” she said.

Mentioning that the people of the country are her family, the prime minister said it is her responsibility to improve the living standard of every family member.

“We’ve working tirelessly from the sense of patriotism and responsibility to improve living standard of the people and materialise the dream of Bangabandhu,” she said.

Sheikh Hasina said her government is implementing a number of mega projects in the country and setting up 100 economic zones to establish Bangladesh as a developed and prosperous country.

Highly praising the contributions of the expatriate Bangladeshis to the economic development of the country, the prime minister described various steps of her government for the welfare of the expatriates.

“We’ve established Prabashi Kalyan Bank so that the job seekers can go abroad by taking loan from the bank instead of selling their land and other property,” she said.

“The branches of the bank will be opened in those areas where the number of population is more,” she added.

She said the government is going to introduce e-passport to check frauds in recruiting Bangladeshi workers abroad. Sheikh Hasina, however, advised the workers to remain alert on their own so that they do not become victims of any cheating.
