DHAKA, APRIL 7, 2019 (BSS)- The parliamentary standing committee on the Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry today recommended for developing Sonadia and Maheskhali islands as more attractive places for tourists along with Saint Martin.

The recommendation was made at the second meeting of the parliamentary standing committee on the ministry of civil aviation and tourism here, said a press release.

The committee stressed on further developing waste management system in the tourists spots, including Cox’s Bazaar, to ensure an eco-friendly environment.

It recommended taking up necessary steps to sell tickets in such a way that no seat remains vacant during a flight. It was stated at the meeting that, 8 development projects and 2 study projects of Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation are under progress, the release added.

Presided over by the chairman of the committee RAM Ubayedul Moktadir Chowdhury , members of the committee civil aviation and tourism state minister Md. Mahbub Ali, Engineer Mosharrof Hossain, Ashek Ullah Rafique and Syeda Rubina Aktar were present at the meeting.
