Austria keen to invest in health sector

 DHAKA, Feb 26, 2018 (BSS) – The Austrian government has expressed its interest to investment in the health sector of Bangladesh.

Austrian Ambassador to Bangladesh Brigitte Oppinger Walchshofer made the comment when he met with Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim at the latter’s office here today, an official release said.

During the meeting, a delegation of Austria showed interest to invest in major areas including maternal and child health, cancer and ENT (ear, nose and throat). Representatives of Austrian AME company, a global healthcare technology solution provider, who have played key role in development of hospitals worldwide were present at the meeting.

The health minister said Bangladesh has witnessed a remarkable progress in the health sector in the past few years as the present government has implemented different effective programmes.
