DHAKA, Jan 7, 2019 (BSS) – Tungipara Upazila AL President Sheikh Abdul Halim died of old age complications this morning.
He was 85.
Sheikh Halim breathed his last around 6.30 am at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital.
He was survived by wife, three sons, five daughters, a host of relative, well-wishers and admirers to mourn his death.
The AL leader was buried at family graveyard after holding namaj-e-janaja at Gimadanga Government Primary Government High School.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed grave shock at his demise.
In a message of condolence, the premier sought eternal peace of the departed soul and expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
