KPC -ANNUAL-ELECTION
Habib, Saheb elected president, secretary of Khulna Press Club
KHULNA, Dec 27, 2018 (BSS) – S M Habib of ATN Bangla and Md Saheb Ali of
Dainik Purbanchal have been elected as president and general secretary
respectively at the annual general election of Khulna Press Club (KPC).
The annual general election of Khulna Press Club (KPC) was held today at
the Humayun Kabir Balu auditorium in the city.
Mahbubur Rahman Munna of Banglanews 24.com was elected assistant secretary.
The nine other office bearers are – Sohel Mahmud (Purbanchal), Anisuzzaman
(Economic Times), Mostofa Sarwar Poplu (Masranga TV), Farid Ahmed (Sattayer
Sandhane), Mostofa Sarwar ( Dainik Prabartan), S M Shahid Hossain
(Daxinanchal Pratidin), Hasan Ahmed Molla (Amader Khulna), Sohrab Hossain (
Dainik Janmobhumi) and Farid Rana (Dainik Tathya).
Earlier, Tariqul Islam of Somoyer Khabar, Amiya Paul of Dainik Purbanchal
and Rashed Ahmed of manabzamin were elected as vice presidents unopposed.
Anwarul Islam Kazol of Dainik Purbanchal was elected joint secretary,
Rafiul Islam Tutul elected treasurer while Sheikh Mahmud Sohel of Purbanchal
and Abdul Zalil of Dainik Khuljnanchal were elected assistant secretary.
Chairman of KPC Election Committee and Director of Khulna PID Md Javed
Iqbal announced the results after vote counting.
The annual election began at around 9am and ended at 1pm without any
break.
