Nasim hopes army to help maintain law and order

GAIBANDHA, Dec 24, 2018 (BSS) – Central 14-party alliance spokesman and Awami League presidium member Mohammed Nasim today expressed his optimism that the army will extend all-out cooperation to the civil administration in maintaining law and order in the upcoming 11th parliamentary election.

He came up with the remarks at an electioneering rally at Bharatkhali High School ground under Saghata upazila in the district.

Nasim expressed his optimism the army would play a neutral role in the election as like as they did in the previous polls.

As part of the pre-scheduled programmes of 14-party alliance, the public rally was arranged in favour of AL candidate in Saghata and Fulchhari upazila constituency Advocate Fazle Rabbi Miah.

The 14-party spokesman said congenial atmosphere for holding a free, fair and neutral election is prevailing in the country as level-playing-field for all political parties have been ensured.

But BNP is spreading falsehood over the level-playing field to mislead the people, he said. Nasim said the people will give a befitting reply to all conspiracies of BNP through ballots in the election.

The AL leaders expressed his optimism that the grand alliance will be voted to power in the election for the continuation of the country’s current development trend.

Deputy Speaker of the parliament Advocate Fazle Rabbi Miah, lawmaker Advocate Umme Kulsum Smriti, Jatiya Party presidium member Ezaz Ahmed, Gono Azadi League President Advocate SK Sikder, Workers Party politburo member Aminul Islam Golap and Fulchhari upazila Jubo League President Habibur Rahman, among others, addressed the rally with Saghata upazila AL acting president Nazmul Huda Dudu in the chair.
