Muktijoddha-Brothers tie end 1-1 draw in Independence Cup
DHAKA, Dec 5, 2018 (BSS)- Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra lost valuable
points as they played out to a 1-1 goal draw with Brothers Union Club in the
Independence Cup Football on Wednesday at Bangabandhu National Stadium.
In the day’s match, Lima put the all orange Gopibagh ‘outfit’ Brothers
Union Club ahead early in the 8th minute while Muktijoddha found the
equalizer as Sujon scored the goal in the 24th minute of the match.
Earlier, the freedom fighter Muktijoddha Sangsad got off to a losing start
in the competition with a 1-2 goal defeat to Dhaka Abahani Limited.
With the day’s feat, Muktijoddha Sangsad opened their account with one
point from two matches while Brothers Union Club also secured one point
playing one outing.
Thursday’s matches: Rahamatganj Muslim and Friends Society will take on
Chattogram Abahani Limited at 3 pm while NoFeL Sporting Club meet Mohammedan
Sporting Club Limited at 5 pm at the same venue.
