People to thwart unconstitutional power takeover attempt: Nasim
SIRAJGANJ, Dec 30, 2017 (BSS) – Awami League Presidium Member and Health Minister Mohammed Nasim today said the country’s people will thwart any attempt to takeover power in an unconstitutional way.
“Awami League and its allies in 14-party alliance will be in the field to side with the people. The next general election will surely be held under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as per constitution. The government will not go beyond the constitution,” Nasim, also the 14-party spokesperson, said.
He came up with the observations while addressing the biennial conference and views exchange meeting of Sirajganj district wing of Institute of Diploma Engineers Bangladesh (IDEB).
Presided over by IDEB Sirajganj wing president Nawsher Ahmed Tamanna, the meeting was also addressed by acting general secretary of district Awami League Dr Habib-e Millat Munna, MP, and IDEB central general secretary Shamsur Rahman, among others.
Later the health minister inspected the progress of the construction work of Shaheed M Monsur Ali Government Medical College and Hospital in Shialkol.
