AL to announce election manifesto by Dec 15 : Quader

DHAKA, Nov 30, 2018 (BSS) – The ruling Awami League (AL) General Secretary Obaidul Quader today said the AL would announce it’s election manifesto within December 15 as the country is set to hold the 11th parliament elections on December 30.

The AL general secretary said this at a press briefing held at the political office of AL’s president Sheikh Hasina at Dhanmondi here.

Awami League President and Prime Minister Shiekh Hasina will announce the election manifesto after the last date of nomination paper withdrawal.

Quader who is also the Road Transport and Bridges Minister said the AL has carried out the development activities not only for the upcoming elections, but also considering the next generations of the country and it would reflect in the election manifesto.

The AL general secretary said most of the nominated candidates of the ruling party are politicians, adding that even the former Chattra League leaders and most of the politicians have got the party nominations for the upcoming election.

Of the nominated candidates, there are almost 40 persons who are directly involved with the Liberation War, the minister added.

Even there are already 45 nominated persons who are new arrival and the number may rise to 50, he said.
