Kholiquzzaman for promoting entrepreneurship to achieve SDGs

DHAKA, Nov 19, 2018 (BSS) – Chairman of Governing Council of Dhaka School of Economics (DScE) Dr Kazi Kholiquzzaman Ahmad today laid emphasis on promoting entrepreneurship for removing gap between rich and poor as well as achieving the targets of Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs).

“Both government and non-government actors should work together for fulfilling targets of SDGs,” he told a function titled “Sustainable Development and Entrepreneurship Economy” in the auditorium of DScE in the city.

Former teacher of History Department of Dhaka University (DU) Prof Dr Zahed Ahmad and assistant professor Rehena Parvin of DScE, among others, addressed the programme with Eminent Economist Dr Muhammad Mahbub Ali in the chair.

Dr Kholiquzzaman said the country needs to intensify research works and quality of education to create entrepreneurs for removing gap between rich and poor.

Other speakers urged the government to create favorable atmospheres with offering special incentive package for developing entrepreneurs, which eventually would help boosting economic development in the country.
