16 militants killed in Afghan Ghor province
FIROZ KOAH, Afghanistan, Nov 16, 2018 (BSS/XINHUA) – Government forces
have killed 16 militants affiliated with Taliban and sized some of their arms
and ammunition over the past 24 hours in Afghanistan’s Ghor province, an army
statement released here said Friday.
The fighting, according to the statement happened in Charsada district of
the province, a neighboring district to provincial capital Firoz Koah,
leaving up to 16 militants dead and a quantity of arms and ammunition seized
by security forces.
However, the statement did not provide details about the possible
casualties of the government forces, adding operations would last until the
militants are wiped out from the area.
Taliban militants have not commented on the event.
