Jukto Front calls for ensuring level playing field
DHAKA, Nov 10, 2018 (BSS) – Jukto Front Chairman and Bikalpa Dhara President AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury today called for creating level playing field for the forthcoming 11th parliamentary election to hold the polls in a free and fair manner.
“If the Election Commission wants, it can ensure all measures to hold a fair election. Jukto Front is joining the election to keep going the Constitutional and democratic trend and for peace and prosperity,” he said.
Badruddoza said this while addressing a rally for extension of Jukto Front and joining of different leaders to Bikalpa Dhara on the premises of Mahanagar Natyamanch here.
Jukto Front’s Coordinator Golam Sarwar Milon, Bikalpa Dhara Joint Secretary General Mahi B Chowdhury, former minister Nazim Uddin Al Azad, Jatiya Party (Matin) Chairman Dr Mukit, who also joined Jukto Front, Hafej Mawlana Mahfuz Ullah, among others, addressed the rally with Bikalpa Dhara Secretary General Major (retd) Abdul Manan in the chair.
Badruddoza said after the announcement of schedule of the election, all officials and employees of the republic have gone under the Election Commission.
So, the commission can hold a fair and peaceful election, he added.
From the rally, it was announced that Jukto Front and Bikalpa Dhara will take part in the election with ‘Kula’ (winnowing platter) symbol.
