Palestinian killed by Israeli fire in West Bank clashes: health ministry
RAMALLAH, Palestinian Territories, Oct 26, 2018 (BSS/AFP) – A Palestinian was killed during clashes with Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank Friday, the Palestinian health ministry said.
The man was hit with live ammunition from behind, with the bullet piercing organs in his lower abdomen, the ministry said.
Medical sources named him as Othman Ladadwa.
The Israeli army did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Another man who was shot in the head was in serious condition, the Palestinian health ministry said.
Witnesses said clashes began when Israeli settlers came to visit a site near the village of al-Mizraa al-Ghrarabiya in the occupied West Bank and local Palestinians threw stones at them.
Israeli forces then intervened and fired both tear gas and ammunition at the Palestinians, the witnesses said.
