Two drug peddlers held with 885 bottles of phensidyl in C’nawabganj

CHAPAINAWANGANJ, Dec 19, 2017 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-5
arrested two alleged drug peddlers with 885 bottles of contraband Indian
phensidyl from Piling More area under Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj
district early today.

The arrested persons were identified as Md Salim Reza, 33, and Md Mukul
Alam, 23, both are sons of Md. Akhtarul Hossain of Koilar Diar Dhaniapara
village of the same upazila.

Chapainawabganj camp commander of RAB Squadron Leader Mohammad Sayeed
Abdullah Al Murad said acting on a tip off, an operation team of RAB from
Chapainawabganj camp raided the aforesaid area at around 12:20 am and
detained a rice-laden truck in front of the Darga Mosque.

After searching the truck, RAB recovered the phensidyl bottles. RAB also
detained the truck and seized 400 sacks of rice.

Later, the arrested persons were handed over to the police of Shibganj
thana, the sources added.
