DHAKA, Feb 7, 2018 (BSS)- Sri Lankan captain Dinesh Chandimal said they have separate plans for Bangladesh in the second Test match starting from tomorrow (Thursday).
"Our Test team is quite more experienced compare to the ODI team but nevertheless it's a challenging for us. We have separate plans for them as well as the condition which will be implemented on the ground," said Chandimal at a pre-match press conference held on Wednesday at conference room of Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur.
Bangladesh is strong opposition in their home soil and the Lankan skipper also agreed with it. "They (Bangladesh) are very good side especially in home ... they are now in good form and we are not taking them lightly... they're playing good cricket." appreciated Chandimal.
Chandimal revealed that they have separate plans for Mominul Haque in the second Test match. Mominul Haque celebrated his comeback in the team in grand way. In Chittagong, the southpaw top order batsman recorded the record of becoming the first Bangladeshi batsman to score centuries in both innings in a single Test match.
Twisting the pace, bounce and spin tricks of the opposition, the left hander cruised to 176 runs in the first innings. The second one was even better in temperament and skills, under enormous pressure, Mominul reached in his second consecutive Test ton.
The 105 run innings eventually saved Bangladesh from an embarrassing defeat at the end. "He played incredibly well in Chittagong. He is such a good temperament for Test cricket. It is never been easy to score hundreds in both innings of a match," Chandimal said.
"For him, we have made some special plans. Hope our bowlers will be able to implement those well," he added.
Mominul Haque scored three centuries in last six innings played against Sri Lanka. In the previous last innings against Sri Lanka, Mominul scored a 100 runs.
