Four JMB men, including northern unit chief, held in Bogra

BOGRA, Dec 7, 2017 (BSS) - Police arrested four suspected members of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), including its northern region's military unit chief and Sura member, from Mokamtola area under Shibganj upazila of the district in the early hours of today.

Acting on tip-off, district police and a team of police headquarters intelligent unit jointly conducted a drive in the area around 1 am and arrested the four JMB operatives, Superintendent of Police (SP)Asaduzzaman said.

The arrested were identified as Babul Akter alias Babul Master, head of JMB northern region's military unit, Delwar Hossian alias Mizan Mistri and neo JMB member Alamgir alias Arif and Afzal alias Limon, members of its Sura.

The law enforcers also seized one 9mm pistol, 15-bullet, one magazine and four Burmese knives from their possession.
