KHULNA, Nov 12 (BSS) - The Ministry of Education approved a new organogram of Khulna University (KU) as per recommendations of University Grants Commission (UGC) recently.

KU sources said under the new organogram, 16 more disciplines will be introduced to the KU in the next 10 years. The number disciplines at the university would rise to 32 in the academic session 2018-19.

By this time the student enrollment would rise to 11095 from the present 5000 and 821 teachers from 300.

Besides, the number of officers and employees would increase to 1069 from the present 550. Proposals were made in the new organogram to launch two more schools at the university while the present number of the schools is five.

Proposals were also made to open two more disciplines instead of one discipline under management and business administration school (MBA).

Among the two new disciplines, human resources management discipline and tourism and hospitality management discipline would open from 2011-12 and 2012-13 sessions respectively.
