Two girls killed in Gopalganj road accident

GOPALGANJ, Nov 14, 2017 (BSS) - Two teenage girls were killed and 24 others injured in a road accident in Natunbazar area under Tungipara upazila of the district this noon.

The deceased are identified as Samapti Biswas, 12, of Basbaria village and Sumi Khanom, 12, a resident of Basuria village under Tungipara upazila of the district.

Inspector of Tungipara Police Station Firoj Alam said the accident took place on the Tungipara-Gopalganj highway as a bus fell into a roadside ditch, leaving Sumi dead on the spot and 25 others injured.

The injured were sent to Tungipara and Sadar hospital where Samapti succumbed to her injuries.
