Rain, thundershowers likely

DHAKA, Sept 13, 2017 (BSS) - Light to moderate rain or thundershowers
accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Chittagong, Barisal, Khulna, Dhaka and Sylhet divisions in 24 hours as of 9am tomorrow, a Met office release said today.

Besides, moderately heavy to heavy falls at one or two places over the country including Rangpur, Rajshahi and Mymensingh, it added.

Country's highest temperature on Tuesday was recorded 34.2 degree Celsius at Sathkhira and today's minimum temperature 23.7 degree Celsius at Rangamati. The highest rainfall in last 24 hours ending at 7 am today was recorded 231 millimeter at Shatkhira.

Meanwhile, a warning message of Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said, "Rain or thundershowers with temporary south and southerly-easterly gusty or squally wind speed 45-60 kph is likely to occur in the regions of Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar and Sylhet wherein river ports shall hoist cautionary signal no. one.

The sun sets at 6.05pm today and rises at 5.45am tomorrow in the capital city of Dhaka.
