Digital marketing training makes youth foreign-currency earners

RAJSHAHI, June 19, 2017 (BSS)- Digital Marketing training has made many youths competent to earn foreign currencies here for the last couple of years.

The training has also given them scope of thinking and working intensively on how to transform themselves into competent freelancer and outsourcer to attract the buyers.

The observation came in the closing session of a 51 day long training on digital marketing at Mission Girls High School in the city on Sunday.

Learning and Earning Development Project (LEDP) under the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division organized the training where 25 youths participated.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Parvej Raihan attended and addressed the session as chief guest with Mahabub Ara Nila, District Project Manager of LEDP, in the chair.

Assistant Commissioner Rony Khatun, Assistant Head Teacher of the school Abdul Malek, Digital Marketing Trainer Korban Ali Rana and Freelancer Atia Sultana also spoke on the occasion.

Speakers mentioned that the youth forces should come forward towards attaining IT knowledge to earn money from online outsourcing for making themselves as economically self-reliant.

They viewed any person would be able to earn foreign currency through acquiring knowledge on on-line outsourcing as many trained youths are earning handsome amount from the outsourcing sector.

Parvej Raihan said the government is implementing the programme to create opportunities for earning foreign currency through online outsourcing. "Freelancing is an extremely prospective sector worldwide and now it is getting popularity in our country," he added.

Freelance jobs in software development, customer service, data entry, writing, editing, blogging, accounting, mobile apps development, web development, search engine optimisation, graphic design and translations are all there for the taking.
