Nahid asks new generation for establishing `digital Bangladesh'

DHAKA, Dec 16 (BSS) - Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid today asked the new generation to work sincerely to build "digital Bangladesh" as envisioned by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

He said this while addressing a `victory day rally' at Dhaka
Residential Model College in the city. He also inspected
colourful display and parade here.

State Minister for LGRD Jahangir Kabir Nanak was also present
with Principal of the college Col Kamruzzaman Khan in the chair.

Nahid said the government gave directives all educational
institutions to organize programmes marking important national
days. Such programmes would help students to build up as
patriotic citizens, he said.

The minister said the government has included the country's
true history in textbooks to apprise the new generation and urged
all to work together for implementing spirit of the Liberation

Earlier, he inaugurated website of Mohammadpur Model School
and College and attended victory day programmes at Dhaka
Education Board Laboratory School and College. The programmes
included discussion, prize distribution and cultural soiree.
