Exams to be cancelled, if question paper leakage proved: Nahid

DHAKA, Feb 1, 2018 (BSS) - Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid today said examinations will be cancelled, if question paper leakage is proved during the ongoing Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations.

"We have taken all-out measures to check question paper leakage in the SSC and equivalent examinations ," he told journalists while visiting the SSC examination centre at the Dhanmondi Government Laboratory High School in the city.

"We will take tougher actions against the persons involved in the question paper leakage,"

a spokesman of the Education Ministry said quoting the education minister as saying.

The SSC and its equivalent examinations under country's 10 education boards began today.

This year, a total of 20,31,899 students, including 10,23,212 boys and 10,08,687 girls, are appearing in the examinations from 28,551 educational institutions.

The written examinations will end on February 24 while the practical ones will begin on February 26 and end on March 4.
