Khaleda representing 'hotchpotch' politics: Inu

DHAKA, Jan 3, 2018 (BSS) - Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu said here today that Begum Khaleda Zia should be deserted from democratic politics as she (Begum Zia) is representing 'hotchpotch' politics by amalgamating democracy, militarism and religion.

Criticizing Begum Zia's remarks on the Padma Bridge, Inu said that the Padma Bridge is not a project of mending something clumsily. Rather the politics of Khaleda Zia is like cooking something hotchpotch, he continued.

The information minister stated this while unveiling the logo of KTV Bangla Online Television at Music and Dance Auditorium of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy here.

"Confidence in the spirit of the war of liberation and the Padma Bridge, a dream project of Sheikh Hasina, could be kept. But Khaleda Zia could not be trusted as she wants to foil elections by wearing the mask of democracy and nurturing militants, Jaamat-Shibir and fire terrorists", Inu observed.

Referring to Kahaleda's comment that if the CHT peace agreement is signed then up to Feni would be merged into India, Inu said it's reality that she was elected as a parliament member from Feni after the treaty. "But Feni was not merged into India."

About her (Khaleda's) negativity on the Padma Bridge, the information minister said Khaleda would also violate her words soon by driving through the Padma Bridge.

Inu thanked the KTV Online and said that the government will publish the detailed policy of online and IP TV.

Former lawmaker Mokbul Hossain Sentu, Chief Advisor of KTV Online Syed Shah Muhammad Junaid and Adviser Murtuza Ali Chowdhury spoke on the occasion as the special guests. Online TV chairman Mohammad Mamunur Hasan Tipu presided.
